History of Boko Haram And what caused there formation

The group commonly known as Boko Haram, officially know as jama'at ahl as_sunnah lid_Da'awah wal_jihad("group of people of Sunnah for preaching and jihad").

The founder of the group was Muhammad Yusuf in 2002 and presently Leaders are Abubakar Shekau and Abu musab al_barnawi.the headquarters they are located are;

*Sambisa forest,Borno, Nigerian in March 2015

*Gwoza, Borno,Nigerian in July 2009

When the group was first formed, their main goal is to"purify" Islam in northern Nigeria, believing jihad should be delayed until the group was strange enough to overthrow the Nigerian government.since March 2015 , the group has been aligned with the Islamic state of Iraq and levent.the group has been known for brutality,and since the current insurgency started in 2009,Boko Haram has killed tens on thousand of people, displaced 2_3millon from their homes,and was at one time the world's deadliest terrorist group according to the global terrorism index.boko Haram has contributed to regional food crisis and famines.
